Zoom and the online venue
Every GymOS account has an Online venue created by default. This is a special venue that is used for online meetings and sessions, and through which you can configure your online areas. You can also link to Zoom to automatically schedule Zoom meetings.
To configure the online venue, select Venues from the Settings section of the main navigational menu. Next, click the icon next to the Online venue. Your existing online spaces will be displayed.
To add a new online space, click the Add button. You may also edit an existing space, by clicking the icon. Clicking deletes the online venue space.
For each online space, you configure:
- Name – A meaningful name for your space, shown in GymOS and to members
- Type – select the type of online space. This is either a fixed URL or, if you have Zoom linked, a corresponding Zoom account.
- Capacity – the maximum capacity for the space.
- Detail – the URL of the space, or the zoom account.
Linking GymOS to your Zoom account
To link your GymOS account to Zoom, click the Link to Zoom button. If this button is not visible, then your account is already linked.
If you need to disconnect your Zoom account from GymOS, please raise a support request.
When connecting your Zoom account, follow the on-screen instructions to grant the requested privileges.
To link to Zoom, you must have a paid Zoom account at the ” Pro ” level or above. Zoom does not provide API access for free accounts, so we cannot connect to them. To install the GymOS Zoom marketplace app, you must have administrator-level permissions on the Zoom account that you link.
