GymOS has always kept a record of who changed what. Until now you had to go and read it, a page at a time. Alphie reads it for you: name a member, a class, a membership, a credit pack or an automation and it tells you who touched it and when – or ask more broadly, about one person’s activity or one corner of the system.

Worth knowing

• “Who cancelled Thursday’s 6pm?” means two different things, and Alphie knows the difference. Cancelling the class and taking one member off it are different acts, recorded in different places. If the wording could mean either, he asks.
• Bookings are read from the booking itself, not from the activity log – so “cancelled by staff” versus “cancelled by the member” is reliable, it names who did it, and it does not expire. A booking the system made automatically is marked as such and nobody is named for it, because nobody did it.
• Alphie will not tell you why somebody did something, only what the record shows and when. It is your team to manage; the tool exists to give you the facts to have the conversation with, not to characterise anyone’s behaviour.
• No record does not mean nothing happened. GymOS records a great deal but not everything, and entries are deleted on a schedule — some after a fortnight, most after a month or three. Alphie says so on every answer and refuses to state that nobody did something.
