Converting a lead to a member
Within the context of GymOS, a lead is typically a short-lived part of the lifecycle. It is the stage before the individual starts to receive any services from your gym, whether it be a trial or a full, recurring membership.
Once an individual starts receiving services from your gym (or is about to start), you will need to convert them to a member record. The process for doing this is outlined below:
- Search and navigate to the lead’s record within GymOS.
- From the drop-down Actions menu at the top of the page, select the Convert Lead to Member option.
GymOS will:
- Create a member record from the lead data.
- Mark the lead record as “Converted”, and set the corresponding journey point.
- Some elements of the lead record (such as payment card details) will be migrated across to the new member record.
Once the conversion has completed, the newly created member record will be displayed. From that point onwards, your activities should take place on the member record and not the lead record.
